What is Yuna?
A Eurorack voice module with a face of her own. Her voice is a formant synthesizer that follows your pitch CV, and she reacts when you patch a cable in or pull one out.
Is Yuna AI?
Not the way you might think. Nothing on the module is a chatbot, and she never connects to the internet. Her voice is a formant synthesizer running on the module, and her reactions come from firmware written for her. Her face and speaking voice were made with generative AI tools under commercial licenses, then chosen, edited, and sequenced by hand. The circuits and firmware were developed with help from AI coding tools.
When can I buy one?
There's no release date yet. Yuna is in hardware development now. People on the access list hear first, before anything is announced anywhere else.
How much will it cost?
The price isn't set yet. It will go to the access list first.
Where will you sell it?
Directly from this site, shipping within the United States at launch. Other countries and stores may follow later.
How wide is it, and how much power does it draw?
Yuna is a standard 3U Eurorack module powered from your case like any other. The exact width, depth, and current draw will be published here once the design is final, so you can plan your case with real numbers.
Does she need the internet, an app, or an account?
No. Everything runs on the module itself. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing that stops working if a server goes away.
Does she need other modules?
No. She works on her own in any powered case. Patching her into the rest of your system gives her more to react to.
What does "patent pending" mean?
A US patent application has been filed on the ideas behind Yuna. It doesn't change anything about how you use her.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, one year from delivery. See the warranty page for the details.
Will there be firmware updates?
If there are, they'll be posted on the support page with instructions.
Where can I see and hear her?
Demos will go up on the YouTube channel. The access list gets a heads-up when they do.
